I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all lowliness and meekness, with patience forbearing one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call. Ephesians 4:1-4
You, my dear, have a unique advantage in that you have been called and then taught the divine ways, maybe even since birth. You have held the power of prayer in your heart and mouth, the wisdom of God's Word in your mind and hand. The strength of the unity of the fellowship of believers as family and friends, knowing you've got each other's back has given you a place to live out Truth.
The full knowledge of that Truth, which overcomes every insignificant and misplaced idea that comes out of people in the city square or the body politic, does not sway you. Only the full grace of living within God's care can sway you, because, most of all, you bear the name of the Creator of the universe. His image is pressed within you AND you live within the living presence of His Spirit.
It is a high calling to represent Him. You must understand to do so will require that you lay down your earthly strength and your worldly knowledge in favor of His.
How could you not?
